» Backwards Story String, Ooh the horror!

(Fo sho you guys need me to make a new challenge like every week or something? You seem to get bored of them pretty quickly and not reply. -pouts-)

Okay, so just like the other story strings, I write a sentence then you write one. No double posting and please minimize usage of ... and ; in order to extend your sentence although if you REALLY need to that's alright. Just keep it to a minimum.

ONLY THIS TIME... it goes backwards. I write a sentence and you write something that would come before it! Fun, right?



ONWARD TO STUFF!

This can be whatever genre. Let's just see where it takes us. And please keep it /plausible/ rather than completely outrageous things. I mean fantasy is chill, but randomly doing something stupid is kind of annoying.

I groaned and walked away from him thinking, Ugh what a dickwad.

[Icarus E. Amatsu]

Mike replied to my outrage nonchalantly. "It had to be done."

[May S. Cyrus]

"Why did you remind the teacher about the paper's due date? None of us want to turn that in tomorrow!" I nearly shouted as we exited the classroom, flailing my arms and nearly whacking him in the face.

[Espen Lee Tennant]

As the class filed out, I grabbed the hem of his T-shirt, he turned towards me.

[May S. Cyrus]

I hurriedly shoved my History binder into my bag and flung it over my shoulder as I stood so I would be able to catch up to him on his way out.

[Espen Lee Tennant]

"Oh, and that's the bell" Mr Tecompsey said, as indeed, the bell rang for the end of the period.

[May S. Cyrus]

(This is a lot harder than I thought it'd be! lol!)

Mike could feel all eyes on him, but keep paying attention to what his History teacher was saying.

[Espen Lee Tennant]

"Oh, why thank you Mike." Mr. Tecompsey said with a little nod.

[May S. Cyrus]

"I thought I'd help out, since I knew you would forget it," Mike commented, smiling slyly at his teacher.


(where the hell is this story going??! lol)

[Espen Lee Tennant]

"Oh bother, I'd almost forgot" The teacher said, scratching his head, the entire class sighed in frustration.

[May S. Cyrus]

Mike took a glance at his binder, noticed the almost forgotten paper due that Friday and decided to remind his teacher by saying, "Mr. Tecompsey, you'll remind the class of our paper due Friday, right?"

Class was boring, more boring than usual, that is...so boring, in fact, that Mike's eyes began to wander, completely out of contact with anything the teacher was saying.

I glared at my notebook after tearing my eyes away from him (shudder) and prayed he wasn't a douche enough to mention the paper that Mr. T obviously forgot.

Mike winked at me, the casual over-confidence of that one gesture nearly made me retch.





(Wait, if this is backwards... then we started this with the ending? Well that's just weird. This story better end up with a satisfying beginning!)

I looked up from my note-taking to steal a glance at him -- my rival -- and caught him looking back into my blue-gray eyes with his sparkling emerald ones.
